KATAVI NATIONAL PARK

Katavi National Park is probably the most remote national park in Tanzania. A challenge to get there, but what a treat you get when you arrive! About 4500km2 of untouched land with an abundance of wildlife. When visiting here, you might even be the only tourist there and you will be greatly outnumbered by lions!

Wildlife is in abundance here. Huge families of elephants, giraffes, zebras and lions can be easily spotted and buffaloes are often spotted in groups of more than 1000 at a time. You’ll easily tick of numerous animals of your wishlist and return home satisfied. Unfortunately, the remoteness of the park doesn’t only have benefits. The price tag of a Katavi safari is higher than other safaris as it is virtually unreachable by jeep and you will have to take a small airplane. For those who can afford it, it is a true dream destination!
