Kilwa Kisiwani is a small island about 300km south of Dar-es-Salaam. Here you can visit ruins of the old port city which are a Unesco World Heritage site and enjoy the gorgeous beaches. You won't find many tourists here, so go and explore the coastal life! The snorkeling is excellent here and can be done at just footsteps off the beach.

MATEMA BEACH, LAKE NYASA
The best lake beach in Tanzania! Lake Nyasa is also know as Lake Malawi and while being far from the ocean, it still offers a great beach experience. With amazing views on the surrounding mountains and interesting villages, it's the perfect destination to relax on your travels through the real Tanzania.
SAADANI NATIONAL PARK
One of the smallest parks in the county, but the only park bordering the coast. The unique location offers a combination of beach relaxation and wildlife spotting. The amount of wildlife is not that big, but the whole experience of the beach and bush combination makes it a great destination! You can even experience some wildlife from a boatsafari.
Located just about 3,5hrs from Dar es Salaam and very close to other must-sees. Perfect if you just want to get a little taste of the safari experience. You won't see many other tourists here, so enjoy the park all by yourself!
